Position purpose:/div>
Schlumberger connectivity WAN/IPT systems administration and design.
General:
The offered position belongs to Schlumberger Enterprise Services Connectivity Team, which stands as a part of Schlumberger IT Group.
A successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the performance of Schlumberger Russia WAN network, tracking related telecom circuits workload on a daily basis, proposing timely upgrades or, when it’s needed, a new circuit ordering from selected 3rd party telecom Vendors. A person will carry out responsibility for network design change management duly records, participate in weekly Service Meetings with the named Vendors and be accountable for timely implementation of agreed plans. In liaison with other IT staff, a candidate will coordinate telecom-related projects for providing Schlumberger Operations with required connectivity. The candidate will also manage IP Telephony implementation projects and be an escalation point for IPT service issues within Russia, in cooperation with the supplier providing these services.
Key Functions:
Projects:
·         Network design development projects;
·         Design, ordering and provisioning of a backup circuit;
·         Connectivity setup in a new office/location;
·         IPT installations;
Daily activities:
  • Monitor and manage network performance (through Schlumberger standard toolset);
  • Monitor application performance;
  • Monitor standard and security compliance (IOS, hardware standard etc.);
  • 3rd level User support that relates to connectivity issues;
  • Manages duly updates of network documentation.
  • Network troubleshooting.
  • Escalation contact for issues relating to IPT service
  • Comply with Schlumberger QHSE and IT Security policies.
3rd party selected Vendor management:
  • Manages communication, ordering and delivery of a telecom circuit from the selected 3rd party Vendor;
  • Manages weekly service meetings and problem escalations;
  • Facilitates installations in liaison with Schlumberger regional IT staff.
Qualifications and qualities:
  • Solid level in networking: CISCO enterprise level technologies WAN, LAN, VOIP, IPT. Configuration, interworking design;
  • Solid level on IP routing and protocols;
  • Experience in troubleshooting through traffic analysis tools and traffic monitoring systems;
  • Certifications – CCNP is a must;
  • Service delivery mindset;
  • Adaptable and willing to learn latest technologies;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Good interpersonal communication and presentation skills;
  • Shows initiative.
